Refreshing appetizers at Scarpetta

The Danish summer weather have spoiled both locals and tourists with record-breaking temperatures and countless hours of sunshine. At Scarpetta, we believe that all of that sunshine, should be enjoyed with delicious food and ice cold drinks.

 

On this occasion, we have introduced new refreshing appetizers, with the best seasonal ingredients to the menu at Scarpetta in Nørrebro and Islands Brygge. One of our summer favorites is the mackerel – a fish mainly in season during summer and until the start of fall. At Scarpetta we present it as a light and fresh Crudo, seasoned with green tomatoes, citrus, parsley and mint.

 

Another summer favorite is the classic Zuppa Fredda al pomodoro – the Italian pendant to the Spanish Gazpacho. Zuppa Fredda can be made with a wide variety of vegetables, but at Scarpetta, we are taking advantage of the summer-sun’s generosity to the European tomatoes, and we have then added the cold tomato soup a bit of edge, with homemade croutons, basil and fresh yellow and red tomatoes.

 

The refreshing appetizers can be enjoyed as a part of Scarpetta’s 5-course menu at 275,- or ordered individually from the á la carte menu at 79,- each.
