Our solar park
Since 2018, Copenhagen Food Collective has been co-owner of a solar park that produces so much green energy each year that our share exceeds what we currently use at all our restaurants and hotels. We are, so to speak, self-sufficient in green energy.
The solar park is the size of nine football fields and is located on a green area just outside the town of Nees in northwestern Jutland. The area is suitable for organic farming, as no chemicals or pesticides are used for vegetation or maintenance.
So the next time you visit one of our restaurants or hotels, you're taking part in a greener and more sustainable course in Denmark.
It's about taking responsibility
We know that we are facing some major climate challenges, and we all have a responsibility to take action. We believe that this development must be driven by companies like ours, and we hope to inspire our colleagues to take similar initiatives so that the green transition in Denmark can be accelerated.
We still have a long way to go, but with the solar park, we have taken a huge step forward, and we are immensely proud of that!
About our solar park
The solar park in Nees was developed and built by Better Energy, which also operates the facility. Watch our video below, which takes you on a tour of our solar park in Nees.
