New Restaurant: Posh Jah opens in Borgergade
Today, Thursday, November 23, we are opening a brand new Japanese restaurant in the city center called Posh Jah. The restaurant is the long-awaited sister restaurant to our popular Jah Izakaya on Gasværksvej in Vesterbro. On Posh Jah's menu you'll find Japanese classics made from the best local and Japanese ingredients, and you'll also find familiar classics from Jah Izakaya at Posh. But while Jah Izakaya sticks to the izakaya-inspired dishes, Posh Jah also offers sushi and tempura dishes.
"You won't be able to choose from 100 different sushi, but rather from a daily selection of three to four kinds of fish of the highest quality served on the best rice, in addition to a daily selection of tempura, both vegetables and things from the sea." - Sigurd Kjeldgaard, Partner
The premises, which you'll find in the old Kay Fisker building at Borgergade 17A, has had a full makeover and is now rebuilt in true Japanese style, with clean lines, organic materials and art that references both Japan and its sister restaurant Jah Izakaya. Light-colored planks make up the tables and surfaces, creating a bright and alluring restaurant with both intimate nooks and larger communal areas. And no Jah is complete without a Japanese, multifunctional toilet.
Posh Jah is open Tuesday-Saturday from 17:30-00:00. Visit the restaurant's website.
