We are still self-sufficient in green energy

Each year we welcome more than half a million guests to our restaurants, and we know that this has a climate impact. That's why it's important for us to give back where we can and take part in influencing and contributing to a green transition. Today marks exactly five years since we switched on our biggest investment in sustainability, our solar farm.

In 2017 we built a solar park the size of nine football fields in Nees, North West Jutland, in partnership with solar energy company Better Energy. The farm produces more electricity than all our restaurants and two hotels use all together. The rest is contributed as excess green energy to the national energy grid. This means that Cofoco has been 100% self-sufficient in green energy for the past five years, while also producing sustainable electricity to Danish households each year. This makes us extremely proud.
